Australia-India Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)

AEO MRAs are arrangements between Customs administrations with programs developed in accordance with the World Customs Organization (WCO) Safe Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade (SAFE Framework)

The recent signing of Australia’s 10th Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) that happened on 18th April 2024 will not only provide benefits to AEO’s, but will also support Australian Trusted Traders (ATT) have better access into one of the world’s fastest growing economies. 

This agreement will help strengthen supply chain security and provide diversified markets, which will be significant in the estimated trade growth of $588 million into the Australian market in the next 10 years. 

The new MRA is complementary with other signed MRAs between the ABF and Customs administration of Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
