Staff Spotlight: Errol Jones

After over a decade of service at McHugh & Eastwood, it’s time to bid farewell to Errol Jones, our loyal HR Truck Driver.

From Geelong to Melbourne, Errol has ensured that every ME client was able to receive their shipments on-time – and always delivered with a smile.

You will be sorely missed Errol. We wish you all the best in retirement!

As Errol enjoys the next chapter in his life, we thought it was only right to ask the man himself some parting words of wisdom as he sets out on his next adventure.

Before working at McHugh & Eastwood, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Before working at ME, my most unusual job would have been as a DJ back in the mid-70s. On the first Friday night, I started out with 10 people in the room, but by the last night – only four months later – there were 300 hundred! The new owners shut me down after that – not the direction they were heading in.

What is your favourite line from a movie?

Where is your shirt” from The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.

Advice for a new worker?

Treat the position as if you are the boss.

If you were to write a book about yourself, what would the title be?

Rethink everything.

Best book you’ve ever read?

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
