Planned Stoppages in AU December 2023

Planned wharf stoppages continue as part of further protective industrial action.

Please see below the December update on the industrial action that is causing delays throughout all major Australia Wharf terminals.

Melbourne

27th November 2023- 11th December 2023

  • 2-hour stoppage starting at 0400hr.
  • 2-hour stoppage starting at 1200hr.
  • 2-hour stoppage starting at 2000hr.
  • 8hr work halt after ship docks.
  • Bans on overtime, extensions, call ins and upgrades.

Tuesday 28th Nov 0400hrs – Tuesday 28th Nov 1400hrs

  • 10hr Ban on loading and unloading trucks

Friday 1st Dec 0400hrs – Saturday 2nd Dec 0600hrs

  • 24hr Ban on loading and unloading trucks

Tuesday 5th Dec 0400hrs – Thursday 7th Dec 0600hrs

  • 48hr Ban on loading and unloading trucks

Friday 8th Dec 0400hrs – Saturday 9th Dec 0600hrs

  • 24hr Ban on loading and unloading trucks

Tuesday 28th November 2023

  • M.U.A. will hold an authorised stop work meeting between 1000 – 1400hrs.

Brisbane 

Tuesday 28th November 2023

  • M.U.A. will hold an authorised stop work meeting between 1000 – 1400hrs.
  • Last slots for both Patricks & VICT on Tuesday will be 8am and first slots back will be 3pm

Sydney

  • Stoppages of work of 1 hour duration from 0500-0600AM, 1300-1400PM, and 2100-2200PM each day starting from 0600AM Monday 27th November and finishing 2200PM Friday 1st December
  • A stoppage of work of 24 hours duration commencing 0600AM Monday 27th November and finishing 1400PM Tuesday 28th November
  • A ban on the loading and unloading of trucks and trains commencing 0600AM Tuesday 28th November and finishing 0600AM Wednesday 29th November
  • A ban on the loading and unloading of trucks and trains commencing 0600AM Thursday 30th November and finishing 0600AM Friday 1st December

All Road and Rail operations will be stopped during these hours, further detail regarding time zones affected will be published as soon as I have worked through practicalities.
